2024 COMMITMENT & FINANCIAL AGREEMENT: Marching Band

It’s hard to believe that little over a month and a half ago, the William Mason High School Marching Band marched 5.5 miles down Colorado Blvd in the Rose Parade in front of hundreds of thousands of people live and millions more on TV. Not only was that experience amazing to perform, but the trip itself was a highlight for many of our band students. These social experiences coupled with the high standards of a nationally competitive group make the Marching Band a unique and special activity at Mason High School.

Now is the time we start building the 2024 version of the William Mason High School Marching Band, and the future is exciting! Sign ups are beginning now, and below is the first form to complete!

2024 MARCHING BAND COMMITMENT & FINANCIAL AGREEMENT

Due: February 25

Concerto Competition

All Wind Symphony members interested in participating in our annual Concerto Competition should fill out THIS FORM. Concerto Competition participants will perform a panel of judges. The first place winner will be given the opportunity to perform with Wind Symphony accompaniment at the spring concert. Summer Symposium

Music For All Summer Symposium

Music for All has a fantastic Summer Symposium Camp! They offer camps for marching band, drum majors, color guard, concert band, percussion and several other camp tracks. Mr. Jackson and Mr. Hinson will both be two of the camp instructors for the marching band track this summer.

If you are interested in attending the camp, Music For All offers several scholarships based on merit and financial need. Most of the scholarships require both an essay and a director recommendation. Reach out to a director if you need a recommendation for your application. Scholarship Info: CLICK HERE

Executive Committee

Looking For VP Of Fundraising Candidate

We will be voting to elect the next Booster Executive Committee in April.  If you are interested in running for a position on the Executive Committee, please reach out to Kim Bishop by March 1st at secretary@masonbandboosters.com.  We will be announcing the candidates shortly after the deadline. Anyone is welcome to run for any Executive Committee position. Please click here for more details on each position. This link contains our current Booster Executive Committee team structure for the current school year.

Executive Committee position currently without a candidate: VP of Fundraising

Would you like to help the band program in a very meaningful and important way? The band would not be able to provide all of the wonderful opportunities and experiences to our students without the funding to support them. We are looking for a self motivated leader to be our next VP of Fundraising. All committees that fall under the VP of Fundraising now have committee leads. This will help make this board position a very manageable one this upcoming year. Please contact Rebecca Synan, our current VP of Fundraising, if you would like more specific information on this particular role and what all it entails at fundraising@masonbandboosters.com.

Thank you in advance for your consideration in serving in a leadership position of the band booster organization. It is a fun and rewarding way to support our incredible band program and more importantly the students.
