Winter Guard Performance Ensemble

(Grades 8-11)

All 8th-11th grade students have the opportunity to join the Mason Winter Guard Performance Ensemble team no matter what skills they currently have. 

New students will learn the fundamentals of guard including dance choreography and flag tosses. Both new and seasoned students will sharpen their skills so they are equipped to audition for MHS Color Guard for marching band season next year. 

Practices are generally two evenings a week from January through April. The season will come to an end with a performance at the Winter Guard Spring Recital along with the MHS Competitive Winter Guard, MMS 7th Grade Winter Guard, and MI 5th & 6th Grade Winter Guard at the MMS Arena. 

Winter Guard is a non-curricular activity that's funded entirely through student fees.
