Toledo Schedule

Below is the Toledo schedule for Saturday. Please note that times may vary once we are in Toledo.

6:00 am - arrive and load at MHS

6:30 am - depart Mason

9:30 am - arrive at Springfield HS: unload/stretch/warm-up

10:30 am - rehearsal at Springfield HS

12:00 pm - eat/change

1:30 pm - depart Springfield HS

2:00 pm - arrive at University of Toledo

2:50 pm - in block ready to move

3:10 pm - warm-up

3:55 pm - move to gate

4:15 pm - Prelims Performance

4:30 pm - back to bus to change

4:45 pm - awards

5:15 pm - depart University of Toledo

5:45 pm - arrive at Springfield HS

6:00 pm - dinner

6:45 pm - load (if earliest time) or rehearse

Finals Times TBA

9:00 pm - Finals begin

10:30 pm - Finals Awards

11:45 pm - depart Toledo for Mason

3:00 am - arrive at MHS

Toledo Transportation Waiver

If your student will not be riding the bus with the band home from Toledo, you should have received an email confirmation from our Medical Secretary (Lisa Oldham) via charms yesterday afternoon. If you did not receive this message, we do not have your student's waiver and will be expecting your student to ride the bus. If this does not match your plans, email Lisa Oldham at medicalsecretary@masonbandboosters.com ASAP to arrange to resubmit your student's form.

DMS Forms for Centrally Provided Medication: Ibuprofen & Acetaminophen

If you have not yet submitted a DMS form for one of these typical OTC medications, please consider doing so if your student has ever needed one of these medications in the past. Marching Band events are very long days for everyone and if your student should need one of these medications, we cannot give it unless we have the completed/signed DMS on file. Please refer to the 'Optional Medical Forms' section of the Mason Bands website to find the DMS form. DMS forms can be submitted electronically to Lisa Oldham at medicalsecretary@masonbandboosters.com.

Home Football Game Concessions

There are still a few volunteer positions open for Friday night football concessions. As a reminder, each family is required to volunteer for two positions during the season. Thank you for your help with this!

Chaperone Help Needed

Check out Charms for signups for both home and away football games. We have a lot of fun at these games so please join us. A current background check is required to sign up. If you want to become a Chaperone, and we REALLY need you, please contact Jane Johnson at Mason City Schools, (513) 398-0474 ext #20143.

We are in desperate need of Chaperones who can go to Grand Nationals in Indianapolis.

Attention Seamstresses and Pinterest Enthusiasts!

Do you like to sew and craft? The Spirit Committee needs your help to make spirit flags for this year’s show. Spirit flags will match the theme of the show and be available for purchase by anyone who wants to show their Mason Marching Band Spirit. Parents like to wave them in the stands and students like to have a flag from each year they participate in marching band as a souvenir of that year’s show.

This is a fun and easy way to help the band program and show your support. If you would like to learn more about this volunteer opportunity, please email spirit@masonbandboosters.com.
