Medication for Centerville

If your student will need prescription or over the counter medication that has not already been turned in, please send an email to Lisa Oldham at medicalsecretary@masonbandboosters.com to make an appointment to submit your student's medication. Please remember the following important points about medication:

  1. Students cannot carry their own medication except for emergency medication such as inhalers and epi-pens (DMS forms are still required).

  2. Our Band Aids carry central supplies of acetaminophen and ibuprofen for students for whom we have a DMS on file. DMS forms can be submitted electronically for these medications to medicalsecretary@masonbandboosters.com. You can check if your student has a DMS on file for one of these medications by logging into Charms and selecting the 'Forms Collected' icon from the Home Screen.

  3. All other medication must be submitted along with a DMS form and will be carried/administered by our Band Aids in accordance with Mason City School District policies. You can find the DMS forms and more information on the Mason Bands website.

Centerville Transportation Waiver

If your student will not be riding the bus with the Marching Band either to or home from the Centerville MSBA Competition, you must fill out and turn in a transportation waiver by Wednesday October 25th. Forms can submitted electronically to Lisa Oldham at medicalsecretary@masonbandboosters.com (preferred) or students can turn their form into one of the Directors. You can check if your form has been received by logging into Charms and selecting the 'Forms Collected' icon from the Home Screen.

Volunteers Needed: Last Feed the Band

Our last Feed the Band is this Saturday, October 28, 10:45 am – 12:00 pm.

We need a few volunteers to help feed the band before they head to Centerville this Saturday.  Sign-ups are in Charms. Subway is providing a full meal, including chips and cookie, so serving and cleanup should be fast and easy.  Non-certified gluten-free and veggie options will be available.  Thanks in advance for helping us feed the band one last time this season!

Fall Fundraiser!

Our Mason Bands Fall Fundraiser is ending this Wednesday 10/25.

This Fundraiser supports all Mason Band programs Grades 6-12.

Digital copies of all order forms are available on the Mason Bands website. (All band students were given a paper copy as well in class). All Cookie Dough/Sweet products are $15 each and the citrus is priced separately on the order form. Orders and checks are due back to your student's band director (MI, MMS) or Drop box (MHS) by October 25th. Checks are to be made payable to Mason City Schools - NO CASH ACCEPTED.

Products will need to be picked up by band students/parents on Thursday, November 30th between 6-9 pm in the MHS Small Commons.  We do not have refrigeration for storing items, so you need to make arrangements to have someone else pick up your items if you are not able to. Thank you for your understanding.

Savory Foods (cookie dough vendor) is sponsoring a drawing this year and the winner will receive $5,000.00 for a trip of their choice.  Each student will receive 1 entry for every 25 units they sell.  The Citrus company is offering online ordering this year for any out-of-town recipients that want to support our band program.  Please send this link to any of your out-of-town friends & family members who may be interested in ordering citrus for the holidays! Here is the link for online ordering for your out of town customers (prices higher online due to shipping costs):
