Band Notes for the Week of August 21st, 2017

Volunteer positions are now in Charms for Friday night football concessions. Each family is required to volunteer for two positions during the season. This volunteer requirement is separate from our competition requirement.

We are also looking for people interested in being a part of the concessions team. If interested, or if you have any questions about concessions, please email Janice Anello at fundraising@masonbandboosters.com

Chaperone Help Needed

Check out Charms for signups for both home and away football games. We have a lot of fun at these games so please join us. A current background check is required to sign up. If you want to become a Chaperone, and we REALLY need you, please contact Jane Johnson at Mason City Schools, (513) 398-0474 ext #20143.

We have lost quite a few Chaperones because they “graduated” with their senior! We are in desperate need of Chaperones who can go on overnight trips like Toledo and Grand Nationals in Indianapolis.

Anyone interested in being a “Chaperone Shadow”, to “learn the ropes”, please contact Jen Grimes at jengrms@yahoo.com.

Spirit Wear

If you didn't purchase a yard sign and still want one, there are only 14 left and are available at the store while supplies last.

Reminder: Tag Day - Friends & Family Campaign

This is a reminder that we are now "tagging" those people outside of our immediate Mason Band family to participate in our Friends & Family Campaign.

The idea is to "tag" our closest friends and family members who live outside the Mason area, but who would like to participate in Tag Day by supporting our band program. Please click this link for a customizable letter and/or email that you are encouraged to customize and have your student send to family and friends during the month of August--Tag "Month"!

Please help your kids brainstorm the names of family members and close friends who would appreciate being "tagged" by receiving one of the letters. Maybe your list includes Mason Band alumni and/or their families...they would certainly appreciate still being considered a part of our band family and may love the opportunity to support the program!

Reminder: New Process for Typical OTC Medication

We have made an important change for typical OTC medications (acetaminophen and ibuprofen) for our students.These two OTC medications will be provided centrally for any student for whom a completed DMS form is on file. Parents can send the DMS form electronically or drop off to a Band Aid since you no longer need to provide the actual medication. We encourage parents to submit a DMS for one or both of these medications if your student has needed these medications at home. Please help us take the best care of your students and consider what they may need to feel the best throughout the season.
