Sarah Minneman is the Chamber Music Coordinator at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and Oboe Instructor at Earlham College. Sarah is an active teacher and freelancer in the greater Cincinnati area and substitutes with orchestras in the Midwest including the Louisville Orchestra, Omaha Symphony, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic, and Lexington Philharmonic. During the summers, she is the oboe faculty for Luzerne Music Center’s Junior Sessions in the Adirondacks. A firm believer in the importance of chamber music and community engagement programs, Sarah is a two-time recipient of the Max H. Gluck Fellowship.
Sarah holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from CCM and a Master of Music from the University of Southern California, where she was a member of the USC Scholarship Woodwind Quintet. She also holds a BM in Oboe Performance and a BA in Germanic Studies from the University of Maryland. Sarah’s principal teachers have included Titus Underwood, Mark Ostoich, Allan Vogel, Joel Timm, David Weiss, and Mark Hill. Outside of music, Sarah enjoys knitting, birding, running, and growing lettuce for her rabbits, Wednesday and Bistro.
