Trinity Icaza
Trinity Icaza received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Miami University, along with a thematic sequence in Critical Youth Studies. During her time at Miami, she was involved in the Miami University Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band, Steel Band, Secondary Ensemble, Clarinet Studio, Clarinet Choir, and the Marching Band. She was also a member of Miami's OCMEA Chapter and the service-based music organization Kappa Kappa Psi.
A woodwind specialist with a primary focus on clarinet, Trinity studied a wide range of clarinets under Dr. Wallis Vore, who was named Educator of the Year in 2025 by the Springfield Symphony Orchestra of Ohio. Trinity’s personal interests within the clarinet include the E♭ clarinet, clarinet choir, and Klezmer music.
Beyond classroom teaching, Trinity has a strong passion for the marching arts, both as a performer and an educator. She was a member of The Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, serving as part of the Drum Major team, and a founding member of the Visual Ensemble for the World Class indoor percussion ensemble ConneXus. She has worked with both marching bands and indoor percussion groups, and has developed a love for the visual aspects of the marching arts. Trinity especially enjoys teaching and learning about marching fundamentals, choreography, and overall visual performance.
Trinity is also involved with Silent Command, a DCI organization partner, where she serves as a guest clinician and private instructor. She teaches topics such as leadership, drum major responsibilities, conducting, metronome/Dr. Beat navigation, and communication skills.
Trinity is beyond excited to be joining such a wonderful team of students and staff. She looks forward to learning and growing in this new chapter of her life and having fun while doing so.
