Proposed Bylaws Changes
As explained during the last Booster Meeting, the Executive Committee has been working over the past few months to update the bylaws, primarily based on advice received in a seminar for non-profit organizations.
Here are the links to the files containing the proposed changes, and the current bylaws. (Both are in the Files section of BoosterHub.) All proposed changes are marked using standard insert and deletion markup.
Please take a moment to review the proposed changes to the bylaws. Members have through Saturday, March 28, to respond with any questions or suggestions related to these proposed changes. All responses should be directed to secretary@masonbandboosters.com. The Executive Committee will be available following the General Booster Meeting on Wednesday, March 18, to answer any questions you may have.
Following this two-week review period, the Executive Committee will send out proposed changes again, with any updates based on member feedback. Members will have an opportunity to vote on those proposed changes at the Booster Meeting on Tuesday, April 21.
Please note that the current proposed changes are based on review by the Executive Committee. Members can propose changes to the bylaws by presenting to the Executive Committee a petition signed by at least 50 booster members (see ARTICLE XIV, Section 1).
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at secretary@masonbandboosters.com.
April Booster Meeting - Save the Date
Our next General Booster Meeting will be on Tuesday, April 21 at 7pm in the Small Commons.
This will be an extremely important meeting!
Topics include:
- Executive Committee Election
- Vote on Proposed Bylaws Updates
- Marching Band forms and information for the upcoming season
After Prom - Help Needed!
Each year, Mason Band Boosters sponsors a temporary tattoo parlor at Mason’s After Prom. After Prom provides a safe space for students to continue to enjoy prom night and is held at the high school. The event this year is on Saturday, April 18th.
After Prom's theme this year is “Island Adventure” and our area will be transformed into a Dinosaur Valley.
We need your help to make this incredibly fun party a success! Every year we have a long line at our temporary tattoo parlor, so every year we need to restock our tattoo selection. You can see the most popular tattoos and choose ones to donate off our Amazon Wishlist here.
We also need volunteers to help set up the space Friday night as well as to work the tattoo parlor during After Prom. While it's a late night it is so much fun and the students are all appreciative of the experience. Volunteer shifts are now posted in BoosterHub.
