Tour Shirts & Spirit Table

Did you order a tour shirt? Are you looking for spirit items for the OSU competition next weekend?  The spirit committee will have tour shirts for those who pre-ordered them (students will receive their shirts this week separate from friends and family), as well as spirit flags, buttons, jewelry and other spirit items available to purchase this Thursday evening from 7:30-9:00 pm. Please note, if you ordered a tour shirt and do not pick it up on Thursday evening, your order will be returned to Friday Threads on Friday morning and must be picked up there.

OSU Travel Day

This is a reminder that students need to bring their own lunch to Saturday’s rehearsal (9:30 am -2:00 pm with a lunch break). After rehearsal, instrumentalists will have a break until 3:30 (they can remain on campus and relax or depart briefly for a break and return) and guard members will use that time for make-up. All students need to be present with their performance gear at 3:45 for an all-band meeting in the small commons.

The band will be traveling on charter buses Saturday.    That means students can eat on the bus and are encouraged to hydrate on the way to Columbus.    Everyone has an assigned bus and must ride on that bus to and from Columbus unless they completed a travel waiver.

Thanks to our generous sponsor McDonalds, students will be provided dinner to enjoy on the bus.    Students will have a choice of McDouble or McChicken, Go-Gurt, Apples, a treat and Gatorade.     After the awards conclude at OSU, everyone will celebrate with Pizza before boarding the buses home.

Estimated return time to Mason is 1:00 am.

Looking Ahead--Grand Nationals Travel Support

If you will be in Indianapolis for Grand Nationals and willing to help the band please let us know.  We will have an email list for volunteers and will share specific opportunities.   For example we could use a few parents to meet the buses on Thursday upon our arrival  to help move into the hotel and Sunday morning to help move out.   We may also have a few opportunities throughout the weekend.  If you want to be on the Grand Nationals Travel on-call list where we will share the opportunities to help,  please email   Many thanks!
