CAR RAFFLE TICKETS ON SALE!
We are kicking off the 2020 Mason Bands Car Raffle! The Grand Prize is a 2020 Lincoln Corsair Reserve and you can see the car now in the middle school parking lot closest to the intersection of Tylersville and Mason Montgomery. Two Early Bird winners will be chosen at our Showcase Event on 9/26 and the Grand Prize winner will be drawn the evening of Friday, October 23rd and announced at our End of Season Event on Saturday, October 24th.
We need every family to help sell $200 worth of tickets in order to give the car away, that is an easily attainable goal with the 7 for $100 option. We will be distributing tickets this week - times and locations to be announced. Please help spread the word to family, friends and co-workers.

BAND BOOSTER MEETING THIS TUESDAY 9/15--7PM
We will be having our next quarterly Band Booster General Meeting on Tuesday, 9/15 at 7pm via Zoom conferencing. An email with a Zoom link will be sent out prior to the meeting. Please plan to join us as there will be many important updates, including information on the upcoming Showcase Under the Lights on 9/26, the Mason Invitational on 10/10 and our 2020 Season Finale Showcase on 10/24 at Lucas Oil Stadium! We look forward to seeing you there!

You should have received an email today regarding the plan for the Senior Events to take place throughout the remainder of the season. There are important Google Forms/action items in this email that we need our Senior families to complete which are due NEXT SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th! PEP BAND/FOOTBALL GAME UPDATES
We have ONE remaining home Football game, THIS Friday 9/18 for which the Band will perform Pregame and a limited Pep Band will perform during the games through 3rd quarter. Students not assigned to the pep game will be dismissed after pre-game.
Each family is getting the opportunity to purchase TWO tickets to only one football home game this year due to state COVID-19 and District restrictions on attendance at HS football games. After the cancellation of Band activities for Game 1, we have reassigned all of the families who were assigned to purchase tickets for Game 1 to one of the two remaining games. PLEASE NOTE: If your student was previously assigned to Pep Band 1 as an instrumentalist for Pep Band, they will NOT be playing in the Pep Band for game 2 or 3, only in Pre-game. However, you are able to purchase a ticket for your student as part of your per family allotment if you wish to stay for the game after Pre-Game. The exception to this is Seniors who were assigned to Game 1 have been reassigned to play in the Pep Band for Game 3.
For families assigned to Game 3, you should have received an email on Saturday, 9/12 with a link to request tickets. As a reminder, the deadline to submit ALL requests for Game 2 are due THIS TUESDAY, 9/15 BY NOON! For those who request additional tickets, we will be awarding them based on the timestamp of your request submission and you will be notified by email on Tuesday afternoon if you will be able to purchase your additional requested tickets.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR PROJECT
Do you enjoy working with beautiful fabric? Would you like to learn a new technique and help out the Color Guard?
We are looking for several parents that would like to learn how to cut color guard flags. You can complete this task at home with just 15 minutes of instruction. Once you begin, you can decide how many you would like to cut. It is quick work and other parents have described it as "fun and satisfying." All supplies will be provided to the volunteers.

September 23 will be the FINAL opportunity for individual marching band pictures. If you haven’t yet had your individual picture, please be sure to sign up for a time slot and order your package! Guard- per directors please wear your M dress/shirt for your pictures.
MARCHING BAND SCHOOL FEE #3 - PAST DUE!
Just a reminder for those that have not yet paid, the LAST MB School Fee installment payment of $250 was due on September 1. This fee is payable to Mason City Schools. Please go to https://www.spsezpay.com/Mason/login.aspx to complete your payment if you haven’t done so already! A reminder that even if you have a refund from the Travel Fee, you may still need to pay the final School Fee.
All students must be in good financial standing by 9/15 or they will not be eligible to participate in the Showcase performances and families will not be eligible for tickets. To be in good standing fees need to be current or an approved financial plan in place.
REMINDER - MB GOOGLE ATTENDANCE FORM
Just a reminder as we begin the school year to be sure you are completing the MB Google Attendance Form for each rehearsal you will be absent from, including late arrivals and early departures. Please be sure to hit the “submit” button and ensure you receive an email confirmation of the submission. Please complete this form as soon as you know you will be absent from rehearsal.
