MANY THANKS to all who made this almost seemingly impossible, possible!  We pulled off a very successful Invitational Event!  It was a great day as 13 Bands came out and many who played for a crowd the first time this year!  Special thanks to Mr. Jackson and the Directors, along with the Competitions committee, for thinking outside the box to make this event possible.  As always, we couldn’t do it without our wonderful volunteers!  Thank you to the Pit Crew, Uniform Crew, Band Aids/Chaperones and all of our wonderful parent volunteers who came out yesterday to make this event run smoothly and successfully!

Please plan to attend our next Band Booster General Meeting THIS TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13 at 7pm.  Meeting will be held via Zoom and the link will be sent out the day of.  This will be covering several important topics, including our Travel Briefing for the upcoming Season Finale Showcase at Lucas Oil Stadium and Booster Executive Committee Information regarding upcoming nominations and election in December!  See below for more information.

Being a Nationally recognized music program does not happen by accident...It takes having:

  • Supportive school leadership
  • Dedicated and talented Directors
  • A strong booster organization
  • LOTS of parent and community support

All of these are crucial and we, as parents, have to ensure we have the last two components in order to keep our programs strong and maintain these important experiences for our students!  It has been a tough year...with COVID threats/risks, the cancellation of all competitive in-person events for marching band and the unknown status of concert band events, but the saying we have adopted for marching band is, “It’s not who you march FOR, it’s who you march WITH...We did it anyway!”  We are lucky because we only have to imagine what it would be like if our students didn’t have band class, marching band and color guard to keep some sense of normalcy and to be able to do what they love.  Many school programs haven’t been so lucky.  So much has gone on behind the scenes...the Directors have put in countless hours to make all of this happen and they could not have done it without booster and parent support to help execute what they have fought so hard for.

The Directors and Boosters NEED YOUR HELP!  We are looking to fill FOUR seats for next year’s Mason Band Boosters Executive Committee as these seats are currently filled by Senior parents or vacant, but ALL positions are open for nomination.  We are looking for parents who are, first and foremost, PASSIONATE about our Band and Guard programs!  Certain positions would benefit from specific skills.  For example, it is desirable to have a CPA or an accounting/finance professional to do the Treasurer role, a tech-savvy parent to be our Public Information Officer as they manage all Mason Bands social media presence and website, and all positions require a person who is a TEAM PLAYER with a common goal of maximizing the STUDENT EXPERIENCE.  If you are at all interested in running for ANY of our positions or would like to nominate someone, please CLICK HERE to see all of our Executive Committee positions and their descriptions.

We will devote some time in our meeting this Tuesday to have each Executive Committee member give an overview of their position.  Formal nominations will be announced by November 1st and voting will take place at our final meeting of the calendar year on December 1, 2020.  If you are interested in ANY of the positions and would like to discuss with a current Executive Committee member, please feel free to reach out to them directly via email.  If you are interested in nominating yourself or another candidate for any of the positions, please email Lisa Oldham, Mason Band Boosters Vice President at

We appreciate ALL of our parents who support our students and Mason Band organization!  We can’t do it without you! Thank you!

Indianapolis Showcase Ticket and Transportation Request

What happens if I need to change my Indy transportation plan?

At this point, we would like you to stay with the transportation plan you selected (self-transport or bus).  If you need to make a change due to an emergency or unexpected circumstance, please contact Mindy at

What is Bullseye Event Center?

Bullseye is a stand alone event space the Band has rented to provide meals and staging space throughout the day.   It is located across the street from Lucas Oil Stadium at 723 S. Capital Avenue.   This is where students will eat lunch and dinner and  be dropped off and checked out  if they are not riding the bus.

Can our family hang out in Lucas Oil Stadium while the band rehearses 10/24?

Unfortunately, if you are not part of a crew volunteering at the event, guests can not enter the stadium until 3:30 when the gates open.  This is based on Lucas Oil Stadium staffing and screening requirements to enter the stadium.

What can I do after I drop off my student at Bullseye before the Showcase begins?

Explore Indianapolis!  There are many attractions within walking distance of downtown or a short drive.  Specifically, the Indiana State Museum, NCAA Hall of Fame, Eiteljorg Museum and White River State Park are located downtown.  The nationally ranked Children’s Museum and Indianapolis Zoo are both open and require reserved timed tickets to enter.

The Indianapolis Visitor Bureau and Downtown Indy are full of ideas, COVID-19 updates and suggestions for dining, activities and attractions.
