CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SYMPHONIC BAND AND WIND SYMPHONY!
This past Wednesday, the Mason HS Symphonic Band and Mason HS Wind Symphony had their first concert of the year. Both bands did an amazing job and we were so glad to be back to hear live music again! These students are all so talented and we can’t wait to see and hear what they accomplish this school year. Special thanks to our Wind Symphony Guest Conductor, Freddy Martin, who was made a Mason High School Band Honorary Band Director! Thank you Freddy and to all of our Mason High School Band Directors and students on an wonderful evening of music!
MASON INVITATIONAL THANK YOU!
Thanks to all of the parents, grandparents, and friends who volunteered their time and donated items to make the Mason Invitational a huge success. We are also grateful for all of the spectators who came out to support and cheer on the kids. All of the participating bands did an amazing job and it was wonderful to be able to watch them all perform. A special thanks to Mr. Jackson, Shannon Walton, Byron Walton, Ken Callow, Sam Gonzalez and all the volunteer leads, school administrators, band directors, judges, and the City of Mason who all played a vital role in the organization and execution of this year’s Invitational. Without each and every one of you we would not have been able to pull off such an amazing event. Most of all we give much love to all the kids who spent countless hours practicing and perfecting their shows to give us a fun day we will not soon forget! You never cease to amaze us!
THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING IN OUR 2021 CAR RAFFLE!!!
We were so excited to announce our Grand Prize Winner and 2nd and 3rd Prize winners on Saturday at our 2021 Mason Marching Band Invitational! After 7 weeks of ticket sales, the Grand Prize winner will receive a check for over $20,000! All of the winners have been contacted and are in the process of being verified and we will be issuing the check soon! We will hopefully be posting their names and photos to our website this week!
We appreciate everyone’s participation in this event as it helps us raise much needed funds for our organization! Thank you for your support and we will see you next year!
FINAL HOME FOOTBALL GAME! HOMECOMING FRIDAY NIGHT
This Friday night is the Homecoming football game vs Princeton! Instrumentalists and Color Guard will wear their show uniforms for the game. Homecoming is also the Football Senior Night and as per tradition, our Band Seniors may wear funny hats for their last home football game! Fun hats are a Senior Only item, but all students are welcome to decorate their instruments in a festive way for homecoming. Please make sure all decorations are school appropriate and that they do not get in the way of the performance. Students should bring their underlayers (fitted shorts/tank/unitard) with them to school in addition to rehearsal gear so they can change into uniform after rehearsal prior to the game.
Dinner this Friday is generously provided by Twin Dragons. We are so looking forward to the encore meal from these thoughtful band parent sponsors! Dinner will include a buffet with several chicken options, white rice, fried rice, vegetables and dessert. Students’ dietary needs will be met with the offerings from Twin Dragons. If you have a special dietary need and have questions, please email Mindy at Travel@Masonbandboosters.com
If you have questions about Friday, feel free to contact Mindy Travel@Masonbandboosters.com
THE UNIFORM CREW NEEDS YOUR HELP!
It's time for the first washing of the instrumentalists uniforms. It's super easy and would be helping us out so much. You can do a whole rack of 15, or half of a rack. We would need them picked up after the football game on Friday night and returned clean on Thursday the 21st. Instructions will be given out with the uniforms. If you are able to help, please email Micki at Uniforms@masonbandboosters.com.
DINE AND DONATE - THIS WEDNESDAY!
Our next Dine and Donate will be this Wednesday, October 13th from 2:00 pm - 10:00pm. Carrabba’s will donate twenty percent of your check back to the band. Simply present this flyer or mention that you are a band supporter!
STUDENT PORTRAITS & BUTTONS ARE IN!
For students who had their portraits taken and ordered packages, those are in and ready to be picked up at rehearsal this week. We will have a table setup at the end of rehearsal, so please make arrangements to pick yours up from 8:00-9:15pm on Monday or Tuesday. If you do not pick them up, you may not have your buttons in time for the game on Friday and the upcoming competitions. If you have any q’s send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
ATTENTION SENIORS AND SENIOR FAMILIES!
Please remember to send photos to email@example.com by Sunday, October 17th, 2021. Please see the flyer below for more information.

MEDICATION DROP OFF FOR SUPER REGIONALS & GRANT NATS
Medication Drop off for the Super Regional will be Wednesday, 10/20 from 4:45-6:30pm. We ask that you use this time to drop off medications your student will need for both the Super Regional and Grand Nationals to streamline our process. We will plan to distribute medications with breakfast and bedtime (after finals) for the long Super Regional Day. Please account for the medications needed for the Grand National Indianapolis overnights Thursday and Friday in November.
