Another successful Spring Sale has come to a close! All of the beautiful flowers, plants and herbs were sorted, delivered and or picked up this past weekend.  Thank you to everyone who purchased flowers to support our program!  Special thanks to our Spring Sale committee chairs:  Shannon Walton, Jennifer Schwartzkopf and Ellen Foss and all of the volunteers who came out this weekend to help sort and deliver!  We hope everyone enjoys their beautiful selections all summer long!  Happy Planting!


THIS Wednesday, May 12th at 7pm via Zoom - Last Band Booster meeting of the School Year. The purpose of this meeting will be to touch base prior to the end of the school year, address any pertinent volunteer needs, vote on bylaws, and discuss upcoming Marching Band events.

Tuesday, June 1-Friday, June 4, 2021 - Mini Band camp for ALL 2021 Marching Band and Color Guard members.  Please be on the lookout for more detailed information coming out soon!


All Marching Band Members should be through Step 5 of the registration process. 


The Health, Medical and Permission Forms via Final Forms must be complete to participate in the upcoming new member clinics,  Brass and Woodwind Movement Clinics, and Guard rehearsals.

The Consumable Fee Calculator (step 2) will be turned off tonight and all families will see their consumable fee in Charms this week.    The  Consumable Fee is due June 1 and payable to the Mason Band Boosters via check or credit card via Charms.   If you are one of the remaining 35+ families that has not completed this step, please complete this google form today so supplies can be in place for band camp. 


School Fee #2  is now past due.  This is payable to Mason City Schools  via EZPay or  check.   


Please take the time now to complete the final registration steps if you have not done so already.


We highly encourage you to review the complete registration guide as it will answer most of your questions.  Please refer to the guide and all the links it contains to complete the registration process and associated payments for the 2021 season. Please refer to the Veteran Member Brass & Woodwind Movement Clinic Document for more information on a new series of three clinics in May to get our brass & woodwind players moving before Mini Camp.


Training rehearsals to get everyone ready to hit the ground running at Mini Camp. We are excited about getting started, and we also understand the academic demands of the end of the school year, particularly with our students taking AP tests. We encourage everyone to attend these rehearsals, but we also understand and support the students who will need to prioritize their time for their academic demands. 


Please wear “rehearsal black” and bring plenty of water!!  And don’t forget your flag and/or Rifle!

This year, our car wash will remain a virtual event.  We will be selling car wash passes for Mike’s Car Wash and they will be available just in time for Father’s Day.  The Virtual Event will run from Mid-May - Early June.   If you would like to support the band as a chair of this event, please reach out to Krissy at This is a great entry opportunity for someone wanting to get involved.  We would need you to draft communication, sort car wash passes by family for pick up, and connect with our treasurer team on setting up our payment details.  


We invite you to join the student care team by expressing your interest to serve as a Chaperone or Band Aid!   During Marching Band season, whether you are a parent of a musician or guard student, we are all one team working together to support all of our students.   Both Chaperones and Band Aids provide care for our students during extended rehearsals, competitions and when the band travels.   If you are new to Marching Band, this is your first step to demonstrate interest in joining us to care for our students.

If you would like to chaperone for the Marching Band, Concert Band or Winter Guard, this is the window to volunteer and complete the training process for the year.  Please complete the interest form at the link below so we can help find a good fit for everyone.  Both returning chaperones/band aids and new volunteers should complete the form.
