LANGBEIN FAMILY

Our hearts are breaking with the Langbein family with the news that Jacob Langbein, Class of 2017, passed away this week. Jake was a loved member of the Mason Band Family and his entire family played a significant role in the program’s success. We are honored that in lieu of flowers, the Langbein family asks that donations be made to the Mason Band Boosters in honor of Jake’s love and connection with the William Mason High School Band. Funds will be used to provide scholarships for band students in need and mental health initiatives for the Mason Band program. Donations may be made at www.masonbands.com

MARCHING BAND 2021 MUST BE FULLY REGISTERED AND IN GOOD FINANCIAL STANDING FOR MINI-CAMP PARTICIPATION!  

The Health, Medical and Permission Forms via Final Forms must be complete to participate in Mini Band Camp.   Your student is not eligible to stay Tuesday if  their forms are not signed in Final Forms. 

 

You will be pulled during mini-camp check-in if your student is not in good financial standing.   All Last Year School Fees including Concert Band Fees, Marching Band Fee #1, and Marching Band Fee #2 are past due and must be paid to be in good financial standing.   We will track fee payments through Monday at 5pm and then stop to compile an accurate roster for Tuesday.

 

Reminder:   The Consumable Fee, due to Mason Band Boosters, is due Monday, 6/1.   You may bring a check payment to mini-camp on Tuesday or pay via credit card on Charms.  You can learn more about how to pay the consumable fee: How to Pay Band Fees

This year our forms are 100% electronic and will not be accepting any printed hard copy forms. Please see below from the Registration Guide for the details on how to submit your forms electronically:

MARCHING BAND REMIND GROUPS

In addition to our weekly emails, there will be Remind groups available for this season, for each section of the band and parents within that section. These text updates will be used for rehearsal updates, changes due to weather, travel/arrival updates, and any other last minute information that is important.

MEDICATION DROP OFF FOR MINI BAND CAMP 

If you need to turn in medication for your student for mini-band camp, please review the important information in these Medication Drop Off Instructions. The next Medication Drop Off time is below. SNACK AND DRINK DONATIONS NEEDED FOR MINI BAND CAMP

We are in need of snack and drink donations to help keep our hardworking band kids hydrated and energized during Mini Band Camp.  You can see a list of needed items and sign up to donate via Charms.  Charms login and signup guides can be found here. Drop off will be on June 1 as you check-in with your student for Mini-Camp or your student can bring with them when they check-in themselves.    (From 12:30-1:00pm).

APPROVED CHAPERONES AND BAND AIDS NEEDED FOR MINI BAND CAMP

If you are a presently approved Band Aid or chaperone, you can now sign up to volunteer for Mini Band Camp through Charms.  Thank you in advance for your willingness to help!  Your assistance ensures our kids have a safe and fun experience. Charms login and signup guides can be found here.

SENIOR UNIFORM FITTINGS

Seniors it is time for your competition uniform fittings!!  Every returning senior must be fitted for a competition uniform, so please sign up ASAP!

BAND PICNIC DETAILS AND PREORDER INFORMATION

We are so excited to add a new family event to our mini-band camp week this year.  On Friday, June 4th, we will be having a picnic in the Bus Circle during our Volunteer Fair and prior to our Parent Preview event rounding out Mini-Camp at 6pm.   For the Dinner portion of the event, you will need to bring your own beverages (no alcohol please!).  You may bring in your own picnic or you have the option to pre-order burgers from Quatman’s, Papa John’s Pizza, Chips and Water.  Please submit your pre-order here  by Midnight on Wednesday, June 2nd!   For dessert - we have food trucks:  Loveland Dairy Whip and Kona Ice!  No pre-order is required for the food trucks.

SENIOR BANNER PHOTOS

Calling all soon to be Senior Marching Band members.  It is time to schedule your photos for the Senior Banners.  Banner photos will be taken on Tuesday, June 1 between 6-8:30pm in the Music Wing.   If you have not yet done so, please use the form below to schedule a sitting and order your SENIOR banners!  Please contact Janice Anello at seniors@masonbandboosters.com  if you have any questions.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS FROM SPIRIT

Camp Shirts: Those of you who ordered a band camp shirt, they are ready!  Depending on which of the three delivery options you chose at checkout you should receive them shortly.  Those of you who chose...

  • Shipping: shirts were mailed. 
  • Store Pick Up: you should have received an email from Friday Threads yesterday letting you know your order is ready to pick up, check their website for store hours.  (Store will be closed on Memorial Day)
  • Group Pick up: your students will receive them on Tuesday during camp from the student leadership team.

 

Jot Form Orders (yard signs, lanyards, car magnets, etc.): 

If you have not yet placed an order and would like to, please do so before10 pm Wednesday, June 2nd: https://form.jotform.com/Masonbands/Spirit.  Items ordered by June 2nd will be available for pick up on Friday, June 4th from 5 pm to 6 pm during the picnic/volunteer prior to the family preview.  If you are unable to pick up your items Friday, June 2nd, please arrange for someone to pick them up for you or stay tuned for the next pick up opportunity during regular band camp in July, exact date and time tba.  Orders placed AFTER 10PM on June 2nd will be available for pick up in July as well.

 

NEW ITEM FOR THIS YEAR! 

We are excited to offer  27.5” x 9.5” retractable banners.  What is a retractable banner you ask?  Check them out in action online: https://youtu.be/Q2834tN8m1Y, see specific design below.  These banners will be available for sale next Friday at the Spirit table from 5-6 for $5 each.  Use these fun banners to support your Mason student from the stands or affix the banner to your car window with the provided suction cups.  Bonus...these are white on the back so you could personalize with your students name on the other side using vinyl letters or permanent markers.
