Now is your chance to volunteer if you are interested in chaperoning!   During Marching Band season, whether you are a parent of a musician or guard student, we are all one team working together to support all of our students.   Both Chaperones and Band Aids provide care for our students both during long events (extended rehearsals and football games)  at Mason and when the band travels and competes.   If you are new to Marching Band, this is your first step to demonstrate interest in joining us to care for our students.  If you would like to chaperone for the Marching Band, Concert Band or Winter Guard, this is the window to express interest and complete the training process.  Please complete this interest form so we can help find a good fit for everyone.

Chaperone/ New Band Aid  Interest Form:

Note:  If you have already completed the returning Band Aid survey, there is no need to complete this interest form.  We have you noted!

This year we are offering a series of training opportunities for our team responsible for Student Health and Wellness--Chaperones and Band Aids are on the front lines of that team.  We will start with virtual and on-line opportunities and evaluate where we are for the second round of training in July to ensure everyone is trained and ready to support our students.

There will be two opportunities to complete your annual Band Aid Chaperone/Required Training. The first is coming up on June 2, 2020--7pm (Virtual Meeting).  The second opportunity will be the week prior to Band Camp in July.

If you have any questions, please reach out to

We look forward to seeing your creative designs.

Facebook Mason Band Parents and Families Group

Due to the unusual circumstances we are all experiencing right now, along with email updates, our band booster parents have also started a private Facebook group to assist in answering any questions you might have about the registration process or anything else regarding the Band and Guard programs. This is a great way, particularly for new families, to get assistance with registration through video tutorials, and the ability to ask questions of other veteran band families who are eager to help our new band families. Mason Music Private Instructors Support Fund

The Mason Band program has established a fund to support the private lesson instructors serving students at Mason City Schools. During these new uncertain times, professional musicians may find it difficult to maintain a reliable source of income. Our program supports these instructors as they support our students. As always, participation is voluntary and all donations are greatly appreciated. You can make a donation using this link:  Private Teacher Support Fund
