CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE CONCERT BANDS!

All the concert bands had great concerts last week.  We are proud of all the hard work and musical effort that went into this semester.  We are fortunate to have five amazing concert ensembles at MHS. Special congratulations to Oliva Dorer, Jessie Kong, and Zach Langbein on their incredible concerto performances and the winners of the John Philip Sousa Band Award Colleen Gorski and Zach Langbein.

AFTER PROM - THANK YOU!

Thank you to all of our Seniors who attended After Prom this past Friday night!  We had lots of fun in the disco tattoo parlor hosted by Mason Bands.  Special thanks to those who organized such a fun booth with “Disco Ink” taking us back to the 70’s while our Seniors got their “Ink” on.  We would also like to thank all of our parent and student volunteers who donated, helped to set up/decorate and ran the booth until the wee hours of the morning!

This year, our car wash will remain a virtual event.  We will be selling car wash passes for Mike’s Car Wash and they will be available just in time for Father’s Day.  The Virtual Event will run from Mid-May - Early June.   If you would like to support the band as a chair of this event, please reach out to Krissy at fundraising@masonbandboosters.com. This is a great entry opportunity for someone wanting to get involved.  We would need you to draft communication, sort car wash passes by family for pick up, and connect with our treasurer team on setting up our payment details.

JOIN THE STUDENT CARE TEAM AS A CHAPERONE OR BAND AID!

We invite you to join the student care team by expressing your interest to serve as a Chaperone or Band Aid!   During Marching Band season, whether you are a parent of a musician or guard student, we are all one team working together to support all of our students.   Both Chaperones and Band Aids provide care for our students during extended rehearsals, competitions and when the band travels.   If you are new to Marching Band, this is your first step to demonstrate interest in joining us to care for our students.
