CONGRATULATIONS AND A HUGE THANKS!!
Congratulations to MMS Symphonic Winds, Concert White, Concert Winds, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony on their incredible clinic performances during Saturday’s Concert Festival. It was so wonderful to hear beautiful music within the walls of the high school auditorium again. We would like to thank all of the parent volunteers, clinicians, the band directors, students, and school administration for everything they did to make this amazing event possible.
BAND BOOSTERS GENERAL MEETING - THIS WEDNESDAY!
We hope to see you at our first Band Boosters meeting of the year THIS Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 7pm. While we would love to have an in person option for this meeting, with the ongoing pandemic concerns, we continue to hold all Booster meetings via Zoom until further notice. We will email out the Zoom link on Wednesday. We look forward to connecting with you all and we will see you on Wednesday!!
2021 MARCHING BAND REGISTRATION
Marching Band 2021 registration is underway. The Commitment Form and School Fee #1 are both due March 19th. If you missed the launch meeting, the presentation and a recording of the session are available on the registration website. 2021-2022 BAND PLACEMENTS
Results of the 2021-2022 band placement auditions will be posted electronically on Wednesday evening March 10. Results will be listed by student ID#. An email will be sent with the link to the results. All students are encouraged to check their band placement for 2021-2022 as some student assignments have been adjusted upward to round out the instrumentation of the ensembles. Students are encouraged to seek feedback on their audition performance by setting up a meeting with Mr. Jackson and Mr. Protzman.
TASTE OF MASON PERFORMANCES
In case you missed it, check out the amazing performances of our Jazz Bands and the Drumline at the virtual Taste of Mason event earlier this week! You can find the video at https://youtu.be/WzhwZgUFHG8. The Drumline’s performance starts at minute 17:15. The Jazz Bands begin at minute 35:19. Way to go to all participants!!
FINAL CONCERTS AND SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT
In order to accommodate our seniors who were slated to perform their last concert on April 27 the final concert for Concert Green & Silver, Concert White, and Concert Winds has been moved from Tuesday, April 27th to Monday, April 26. The final concert for Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony will remain on April 28th. Seniors in those groups who were slated to receive awards on the 28th will be honored in the ceremony on April 27th in order to allow them to perform on April 28th.
2020 MARCHING BAND MEMORY BOOK & PHOTO RE-ORDERS
We’ve had requests from families for a chance to re-order the 2020 Marching Band Memory Book and Pano/Section Photos. To meet this need (since the ordering window was over the holiday break), we have reopened the photo order portal and will accept orders through Monday, March 15th. Click here to order.
