A Note About The Current School Closing Due to COVID-19

The Governor’s announcement to close schools for at least three weeks is an unprecedented and unique event in public education. We all have questions as we enter this uncharted territory in Mason’s school district history.  Please stay tuned to district communications and emails from the band directors. We will share information and plans with you as district leadership establishes plans and shares them with teachers. At this time we all need to pause and focus on being healthy and safe.  Details of the remainder of the school year and future band events will slowly come into focus with time and patience. Be positive and use the time away from school to relax and reflect on the many great things in our school district, band program, and lives.

Mason City Schools Operating Levy Info - PLEASE VOTE!

Tuesday is Election Day and WE NEED YOUR VOTE! An operating levy is needed to maintain the quality programming and activities that Mason City Schools has today.  A levy failure would result in staff and program cuts across the district and significantly impact the Mason Band program that we know and love. We need your help to maintain quality music programs in our schools!  If you haven’t already PLEASE CONSIDER EARLY VOTING in light of the recent COVID-19 situation.

We encourage everyone to gather the facts and vote March 17th.
