Music For All Cincinnati Regional Music Festival - March 6 & 7, 2020
The 4th Annual Music For All Cincinnati Regional Music Festival is being Hosted by Mason Bands at Mason High School on March 6 & 7, 2020. This unique opportunity allows Middle School and High School concert bands to perform in front of and receive critical feedback from renowned music educators. This event has been extremely well received and is growing every year. We need your help in making it a success!
WE STILL NEED MANY VOLUNTEERS!!

We need help in a variety of ways, including: band guides, concessions, spirit wear, ticket sales, parking, ushers and food and bake sale donations. Any one who volunteers will receive free admission into the performances (tickets are $5 for Friday night and $8 for Saturday).

Winter Guard MEPA Competition - This Saturday!
The Mason Winter Guards will compete in their 2nd MEPA competition of the season THIS SATURDAY, March 7 at Springboro HS. Event details and approximate performance times are as follows:
G2 (Mason HS A) - 1:59pm*
G1 (Mason HS) - 2:39pm*

Winter Guard Preview Night, Friday March 20, 7pm
Please mark your calendar for the Winter Guard Community Preview on Friday, March 20 at MMS Arena at 7pm. MHS G1, MHS G2, MHS G3 and the MMS Winter Guard will perform. Each of these presentations will be short so please be sure to arrive on time to see the amazing skills they have been learning and perfecting and the wonderful shows they have put on the floor!
Quarterly Band Boosters Meeting - Thursday, March 12, 7pm
Please mark your calendars for the first quarterly Mason Band Boosters meeting of the year on Thursday, March 12 at 7pm in the MHS Band Room. Please have at least one adult attend the meeting as we will be reviewing some important information as we approach the end of the school year and gear up for the next marching season!
Mason City Schools Operating Levy Info
The Mason City Schools has an operating levy on the voting ballot on March 17, 2020 and early voting has already begun! An operating levy is needed to maintain the quality programming and activities that Mason City Schools has today. A levy failure would result in staff and program cuts across the district and significantly impact the Mason Band program that we know and love. Please see the email from Mr. Protzman that was distributed last week and attend the CommUnity Conversation with Jonathan Cooper for details on the implications to the program. We need your help to maintain quality music programs in our schools! Please be sure to cast your vote! Marching Band - Updated Info
We are unable to release Marching Band 2020 registration materials until we know the results of Mason’s Operating Levy vote on March 17, 2020. If the levy passes, fees will remain consistent with last year and we will be able to focus and invest in our world-class Marching and Concert band programs. If the levy fails, Marching Band fees will increase and the scope of the program, including staffing and schedule, will be re-evaluated. We encourage everyone to gather the facts and vote March 17th.
