Thank you to the above parents for stepping up to lead this organization into the future!!!  Look for pics and bios of the nominees in Band Notes coming up in the next couple of weeks! Voting will take place at the last booster meeting of the school year on Thursday, April 21, 2022.  We will also be voting on the updated bylaws that night to reflect the changes made to our organizational structure.  An email detailing the proposed changes will be sent out later this week.  Thanks in advance for taking the time to look at the proposed changes.

CONGRATS ON WGI REGIONAL FINALS 4th PLACE FINISH!

Congratulations to the Mason HS Competitive Winter Guard on making it to WGI Regional Finals in Indianapolis this weekend!  This group continues to wow us with their “Fascinating” show!  The group scored a very impressive 85.230 WGI Finals and finished 4th overall in their class among some really competitive groups!  Congratulations to these amazing students!  We are so proud!  

 

The final competition of the season will take place at the MEPA Finals at The Nutter Center at Wright State University on April 1st & 2nd, 2022.  Please save the date to come watch all of our Winter Guard groups perform at the Spring Recital on Thursday, April 14th at 7pm, MMS Arena.  All are invited to come watch and celebrate these hardworking students!

MHS RECITAL NIGHTS

This event is being run in place of OMEA Solo and Ensemble at Mason High School, in the music wing. Please note, 7-9th grade solo and ensemble will not be an option for Mason students, as the timing does not align with our Spring Break. Our Recital Night will serve as our replacement for OMEA Solo & Ensemble going forward. Students scheduled to perform on one of the recital nights should refer to the information sent by Mr. Jackson for further details.

MARCHING BAND 2022

During the past 3 months, a lot of planning has been going on behind the scenes, and the 2022 Marching Band season launch is officially underway. Below you will find important dates of the registration process.  Please keep in mind that physicals must be current in Final Forms by May 1st so be sure to schedule appointments in a timely manner.   Thanks to everyone who filled out their commitment form and paid their 1st payment in a timely manner. We are so excited for the upcoming season!

VOLUNTEERS AND DONATIONS NEEDED FOR AFTER PROM

A small team of parents have plans underway for the band’s sponsored section of After Prom. This year’s After Prom theme is “Let’s Go To The Movies”. The band boosters will be running the “Danger Zone” tattoo parlor.  We are in need of student and parent volunteers to set up and decorate our space on Friday, April 22.  We  will also need parents to run the band’s tattoo shop during After Prom on Saturday, April 23.  In case you cannot volunteer your time,  we could also use donations of cash and/or supplies. Monetary donations will be used to purchase needed items and decorations.  Please note that donations made here will be used in the band booster sponsored area only.  We do not receive funds collected by the PTO to support the space we sponsor. Please help us to make this a great event for our well deserving Juniors and Seniors!
