LANGBEIN FAMILY

Our hearts are breaking with the Langbein family with the news that Jacob Langbein, Class of 2017, passed away this week. Jake was a loved member of the Mason Band Family and his entire family played a significant role in the program’s success. We are honored that in lieu of flowers, the Langbein family asks that donations be made to the Mason Band Boosters in honor of Jake’s love and connection with the William Mason High School Band. Funds will be used to provide scholarships for band students in need and mental health initiatives for the Mason Band program. Donations may be made at www.masonbands.com

FANTASTIC MINI BAND CAMP!

This past week was a fun kick off to the 2021 Marching Band season.  It was exciting to see the progress the students made in just a few days due to their hard work and dedication.  When we look back at where we were last year at this time, we are so grateful that we were able to hold Mini Band Camp in person this year.  The kids had the chance to begin to bond with one another and really make great strides in both music and movement.  The week culminated with a fantastic performance during the family picnic where all of their efforts were on display.  Thank you to all of the student leaders, parents, volunteers, staff, and the students themselves for giving 110% throughout the entire week.  You all played a part in making this week a productive and memorable experience.  Also a huge shout out to Shannon Weilinga & Krissy Hufnagel for organizing the band picnic and all of the committee chairs who assisted with the volunteer fair.  If this past week is any indicator, this year promises to be amazing!

Our photo crew did an amazing job capturing images from the week of our students, volunteers, and staff. Log into our Smug Mug site here to view photos. You can download images for free and also order prints, buttons, etc. If you need the password, send an email to SmugMug@MasonBandBoosters.com.
