GUARD AND PERCUSSION CAMP - THANK YOU!
This past week, Mason Band and Guard successfully hosted their first in-person rehearsal of the season! It was so great to meet in person and we could not have done it without the organization of our dedicated Directors and Parents working behind the scenes to ensure that our students and staff could meet and rehearse safely. Thank you Guard and Percussion PARENTS for your patience as we navigated through new arrival procedures and thank you STUDENTS for respecting our new rehearsal etiquette and rules!
VOLUNTEER INTEREST SURVEY
At the Band Booster meeting this past week, our Committee Chairs spent time introducing themselves, talking about what their committee does and the volunteer needs for this upcoming Band season (see the Volunteer Information Slideshow that was shared at the meeting on 6/18). If you were unable to attend the meeting or have not done so yet, please complete the Volunteer Interest Survey! This will help us to gauge your interests and align them with the overall volunteer needs of our committees and organization and help you fulfill your volunteer requirements for the upcoming Marching Band season! BAND CAMP SHIRT ORDERS - DUE JUNE 28!
Just a reminder that band camp shirt orders are due by June 28, and this is a one time order so don’t miss out! Orders can be placed at https://www.fridaythreads.com/store/wmhs-marching-band-camp-2020.
VIRTUAL CAR WASH FUNDRAISER
As much as the students would love to “wash” your car this year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, sadly we are unable to hold the traditional car wash this year. As an alternative, we have partnered with Mikes Car Wash to offer coupons for sale and Mason Bands retains 50% of the proceeds as profit from the car wash. Are you looking for a great Father’s Day gift? Were you unable to give your teachers end of year gifts because of remote learning? What about that recent Grad? Well these coupons can be emailed and are a great alternative if you are unable to give gifts in person or can be printed out for in-person gifts as well. They can also be purchased for personal use and the price of the wash is the same as retail if purchased from Mike’s, so why not support the band? You can also share this link with family and friends and they can purchase their own car washes! Please order using the link below.

BAND AID/CHAPERONE INTEREST AND TRAINING
Thank you to all who participated in the first chaperone/Band Aid training. Remember this year, online CPR training is an excellent option if you need to renew. We will offer a second and final training opportunity of the year in July.
If you are new to Marching Band, this is your first step to demonstrate interest in joining us to care for our students. If you would like to chaperone for the Marching Band, Concert Band or Winter Guard, this is the window to express interest and complete the training process. Please complete this interest form so we can help find a good fit for everyone.

MARCHING BAND REGISTRATION

We understand this is an uncertain time, but we are moving forward in hopes that Marching Band will be able to continue as scheduled. Adjustments will be made should COVID-19 restrictions continue and impact the season. If you wish to participate, but have any reservations about commiting at this time, please contact Mr. Protzman at email@example.com.

The first Marching Band Travel Fee Payment ($275) was due June 1st. If you haven’t done so already, please submit or send in your payment. We prefer that travel fees to be paid electronically through CHARMS.
