Mason Invitational IMPORTANT Volunteer Needs!

Thank you to the parents who have already signed up to volunteer for the Mason Invitational this Saturday!

We currently have open spots that must be filled with volunteers! If you have not yet signed up for a volunteer spot in Charms, please do so ASAP.

While we appreciate and are thankful to everyone who will be bringing hospitality food items to the Invitational, supplying food does not satisfy the mandatory volunteering requirement for the day.

2017 Individual Portraits

The 2017 Individual Portraits for the marching band and guard will be taken on Saturday, October 21 between 10 am and 2 pm. There are still time slots available! The portrait sessions are optional. Please sign up for a photo time slot on CHARMS.  The Photo Committee offers a portrait session where you can have an individual portrait taken of your student in full band or color guard uniform. These are high quality portrait photographs at very affordable prices.  You can also buy buttons through the order form for this.  Click on the link below for the Portrait Order Form or find it on the Mason Bands website under Photo Committee.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your assigned portrait time in order to allow for parking and for getting your uniform or costume on.   Bring the completed form and payment of cash or check to the photo shoot.  No photos will be taken without payment.

Fall Fundraiser!

Our Mason Bands Fall Fundraiser has begun!  We will be selling Citrus and Cookie Dough & Sweets from October 13th – 25th . This Fundraiser supports all Mason Band programs Grades 6-12. 

Your student should bring home a paper fundraising packet from their band class with all the information. Digital copies of all order forms are available on the Mason Bands website,

All Cookie Dough/Sweet products are $15 each and the citrus is priced separately on the order form. Orders and checks are due back to the HS Band Drop box by October 25th. Checks are to be made payable to Mason City Schools – NO CASH ACCEPTED.

Products will need to be picked up by band students/parents on Thursday, November 30th between 6-9 pm in the MHS Small Commons.  We do not have refrigeration for storing items, so you need to make arrangements to have someone else pick up your items if you are not able to. Thank you for your understanding.

Savory Foods (cookie dough vendor) is sponsoring a drawing this year and the winner will receive $5,000.00 for a trip of their choice.  Each student will receive 1 entry for every 25 units they sell.  The Citrus company is offering online ordering this year for any out-of-town recipients that want to support our band program.  Please send this link to any of your out-of-town friends & family members who may be interested in ordering citrus for the holidays! We look forward to a successful fundraiser.  Last year we profited $13,000 for our great band programs!  Please help us raise even more this year!

Urgent: Bottled Water Request

We are currently very low on bottled water, and are asking that each family donate at least two cases of 16 ounce bottles. Please drop off your cases to the band hallway as soon as possible. Thank you!
