Medication Pick Up

Medication from the Marching Band Season will be available for pick up just before/after Awards Night tomorrow, December 2nd. If your student will be participating in Winter Guard or Concert Bands and their medication will still be needed, you can leave it with us until the end of the school year. Prior to travel in any Mason Bands program,  Medication Drop Off events will be scheduled so you can drop off new medication or refill ones we already have. if you have any questions, please contact Lisa Oldham at medicalsecretary@masonbandboosters.com.

 

Winter Guard Auditions

  • December 4th and 5th

All students must register for WG Auditions in advance and it is essential that students and parents are aware of the time and financial commitments for each of the teams. Those that did not attend the Winter Guard Information meeting can email colorguard@masonbandboosters.com to have the audition packet and link sent to them.

 

Please wear black, solid colored and form fitting attire.  Students should bring a rifle and sabre if owned to demonstrate their skills.  Flags will be available for audition days.

 

Fall Fundraiser

Thank you so much to all that participated in the Fall Band Fundraiser this year.  It was another successful fundraiser raising lots of money for our awesome band program!

 

Don't forget to pick up your cookie dough and coffee orders for you and your customers this Thursday, 12/5 from 6-9 pm at the Mason High School Small Commons (by the bus circle – Door D-1 “Commons”).

 

We are not able to store any items or make refunds so PLEASE pick them up or have a friend/neighbor pick them up for you if you are not able to.  Any unclaimed items will be donated to the local food pantry.

 

NEW THIS YEAR: We will have additional cookie dough (several different flavors), popcorn, chocolate pretzels and chocolate lava cakes available FOR SALE during pick-up night. Please bring cash or check with you on pick-up night if you are interested in any additional products for yourself or for a wonderful teacher/hostess gift! Or if you forgot to place an order, you can come shop the selection we will have on pick-up night.  Please stop by!

 

We also still need a few volunteers to help on fundraiser pick-up night! Sign up in Charms!

Booster Meeting: This Thursday!

Please join us this Thursday at 7:00 pm for our last booster meeting of 2019. 

 

At this meeting, boosters will vote on the volunteer members to serve on the board beginning January 1st - December 31st, 2020. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the program. 

 

Mason Bands is fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers who share their talent and professional expertise to serve on the board, lead committees, and volunteer to support the various activities of such a high performing program. If you haven’t had an opportunity to connect, please make that one of your goals for 2020.  You will find it rewarding!

Wind Symphony/Symphonic Bands Parent Toronto Travel Meeting 

Please plan to join your student for the final 30 minutes of Concert Band Camp on Saturday, December 7th at 7:30 pm to review plans for the Toronto Trip. The first payment for the Toronto trip is due at that time. The total cost for the trip is $580 and may be paid in full 12/7 or at a minimum, the first payment of $290 is due 12/7. The final payment of $290 is due by 1/14/20.   Payments can be made by check payable to Mason Band Boosters or online via charms.  Details on how to pay via credit card can be found on our website:

If your family is facing financial hardship and you would like to apply for a travel fee scholarship, please complete the Toronto Scholarship application no later than 12/2/19. You must complete the on-line application to be considered for a scholarship.

Comet Cupboard

Mason Bands is very lucky to have a community that supports us at great lengths. Now is our chance to give back! Mason Girl Scout Troop 44405 runs the Comet Cupboard a new program to provide students/families grades 3-6 in need with food for times the students are not in school. Mason Bands will be collecting items/donations at each of the winter concerts in December to donate to the Comet Cupboard.  Please follow this link  https://www.masonbands.com/resources/comet-cupboard-wish-list to view the list of items needed. A Mason Band Booster Board member will be at each concert to collect donations. From the Photo Committee

Photo Item Pickup:  If you ordered a Portrait Package and/or Panoramic and Group Section Photo, please stop by the Photo Committee table before or after the Awards Ceremony on Monday, Dec 2nd to pick up your items.

 

Pano-Section Photos:  Great news! If you forgot to order a Panoramic or Section Photo, our fantastic photo vendor partner, Rod Gilene Photography, has opened a second order window!  Orders for Pano-Section items can be placed at MasonMarchingPhotos.com now through December 3, 2019.   Not sure if you ordered?  Visit the site and click on "Pano/Section Order Info" to see if you've placed your order.   Orders placed earlier in the season will be distributed on Awards Night on Dec 2nd.  New orders placed now through Dec 3 will be fulfilled in January with the Memory Books.  

 

Memory Book:  The 2019 Memory Book (a 68 page keepsake publication with the best photos from the MMB Marching Season) is available for pre-order now. Books will be distributed in late January 2020.  You can place your order at MasonMarchingPhotos.com

Winter Guard Is Looking for a Small Trailer
