2021 TOUR SHIRTS are available for sale online Now through August 12th:Picture of Mason Band TOUR SHIRT 2021 - AVAILABLE THRU 8/12  All students receive one short sleeve tour shirt as part of their consumable fee so you do not need to order a shirt for your student. The online form offers the design on dri fit, long sleeve and crewneck.  You may also use this form to order extra shirts for your students, for yourself, friends and family.  This will be the ONLY opportunity to order the official 2021 William Mason High School Marching Band Tour Shirt, so please take a moment to order now before the deadline on August 12th.  The shirts that you order online will ship out/be available for pick up in store the day or day after delivery to the students depending on when the students receive their shirts. ETA for delivery is late August/early September.  A special note to our new band families to let you know that the design on this order form is generic, the color shown will be the color of the shirt you receive; however, per tradition, the actual design is kept secret until the students receive their shirts.  The staff does a great job designing these show theme shirts every year so you won't be disappointed!

SEEKING ARTISTS: if you are artistic, can paint and will have some time in mid to late August to volunteer, please contact Spirit. We have a fun, special secret project we need help with.  Intrigued??? You should be because we are so excited about it!  Send us an email: if you would like to help and we will give you more details.

MASON BAND SWAG: Order your Mason Band Spirit gear online two ways.

  • Shirts, hats, shorts and other wearables from our local vendor partner Friday Threads: Many items have several color, format and customization options including sparkle so be sure to click on the items to see additional options for each. These items are made custom to order with a standard turn around time of 2 weeks. With that being said, please know that availability of some colors, brands or styles could be impacted due to remaining effects of Covid on the supply chain.  Friday Threads will provide you with options for items with better availability should the need arise and we will work with them to adjust the items available from the online store if required.

We still need help!  There are many opportunities to get a behind the scenes look at the band camp experience!   Please check out the volunteer opportunities in Charms to help with snacks, check-in, and more.  These jobs do not require full chaperone training and we welcome new and returning parents.   Some jobs are only an hour!  For example, we need help serving a snack every day  3:15-4:15.

Any questions, please contact Melissa at

Please make sure your student’s PPE Physical is current in Final Forms.  Students must have a current physical uploaded in order to participate in band camp. Physicals must remain current throughout the season. If your student’s physical expires during the season, you must schedule their appointment and upload their signed PPE Physical form to Final Forms before it expires. It's easy to get a physical from your child's doctor if they've had a well check during the year or you can get one quickly completed from Kroger Little Clinic, CVS Minute Clinic, etc.

Refer to the 'how to' guide here for the details about downloading and uploading to Final Forms. You can find links to the latest registration info on here. If you have any questions about the registration process, please email

TAG DAY 2021!!

Thank you to all the volunteers and students who helped make this year’s Tag Day a huge success!   On Saturday, we raised $20, 330 dollars!   But we are not done yet!   This coming week is our final friends and family push.  This is our ONLY student led fundraising event this season and we would ask that all students send emails/texts to close family and friends.    (Let’s beat our $25,000 goal!)  Click here to see how we are doing!

Fun and Prizes…

  • Every marcher who raises a total of $50 in donations OR receives 5 total donations will get a 2021 Show Themed laptop sticker.
  • Any marcher who raises over $500 in donations receives a Speedy Freeze Gift Card

Thanks to all of the students and families who brought in donations to the Comet Cupboard. The band collected 1200 individual items.  Your contributions will help provide food packs for food insecure Mason City School students throughout the school year. Congratulations to the Baritones for donating the most items per student!! The Baritones will receive a special treat tomorrow for their efforts.  Honorable mention goes to the Front Ensemble who came in at a close second!

Our next Dine and Donate will be Wednesday, August 18th between 5:00pm and 9:00pm at Chipotle Mason Montgomery.

Reminder:   The second Marching Band Student Experience Fee is due TODAY.  Students must be in good financial standing to participate in band camp.

This fee is payable to Mason Band Boosters.  You may pay for both the Consumable fee and the Experience Fees via credit card on Charms or bring a check with you to Band Camp and put it in the Band Dop Box. You can learn more about how to pay the fees in the following link: How to Pay Band Fees.

It has been brought to our attention that some families are receiving a message stating “there was an error in your payment process” when attempting to pay experience or consumable fees through Charms.  Despite this error message, many of the payments have actually been processed.  If this happens to you, you should first check your charms financial statement to confirm if the payment was received before attempting to pay a second time.  If you do think there is an error, you can contact before you attempt to make another payment.  This will help ensure that you do not pay your fees twice.  Thank you for your patience while we try to troubleshoot this problem.

Please make sure you are sending your electronic forms to the right place for accurate & timely processing! Thank you!

Please refer to this LINK where you can find all the latest information regarding Medication, Physicals & Student Care Plans.
