All registration forms due (Refer to the 2022 Marching Band Registration Guide for comprehensive, step by step directions regarding the entire registration process.)

Physicals must be current in Final Forms

  • Physicals are considered ‘current’ 13 months post exam date. This allows 1 month extra given many insurances require 12 months minimum between appointments
  • If your student had a physical in the last year, you can download the form from Final Forms and have their doctor fill it out based on their prior appointment.
  • New appointments will be needed for anyone who hasn’t had a physical in the last year. If you need to schedule quickly, many local clinics such as Dayton Children's Express Mason and CVS Minute Clinic offer same day appointments.

We have updated our process for how we manage medication and it’s important that all families review the latest information on here

We are in need of a few more volunteers to help us clean out the Booster Closet in preparation for the upcoming marching season!  We will be organizing and purging, so come dressed in comfortable clothing you do not mind getting dirty!  Adults and Students are welcome to help! Cleanout will happen on Saturday, April 30th from 12-3pm. Please sign up in charms by clicking HERE.  Your help is greatly appreciated!

Marching is hard work!  Please sign up to donate snack items to keep our hard working marchers energized! No time to shop?  That's OK, you can sign up to donate funds to be used to help purchase snacks for the band.  Items may be dropped off at the beginning of mini camp.

Please sign up to donate here.

Questions?  Please reach out to Melissa Woodward at

Band camp shirts are now available to purchase through Friday Threads.  The t-shirts are not required for marching band students.  However, the t-shirts are a fun and easy option for the students to wear on nights the directors request the musicians to wear white shirts.  Shirts can be purchased here. Sales close at Midnight,  Friday, May 13, 2022.

The high school was filled this past week with the beautiful sounds of music.  Concert Green, Concert Silver, Concert Winds, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony all put on spectacular Spring concerts.  Those who attended on Tuesday night were treated to extra special performances by Kotaro Fujiwara on clarinet, Julia Bradley on Oboe, and Jacob Kraimer on Trombone.  The level of talent the students in our band program possess is simply outstanding.  Great job to all of the performers!

If you would like to join our Chaperone & Band Aid team for the 2022-23 season (Marching Band, Concert Band and Winter Guard), please fill out the Chaperone & Band Aid Interest Form & plan to join our annual training on Monday, May 23rd at 7pm via zoom. If you are new to Marching Band, this is your first step to demonstrate interest in joining us to care for our students. If you are a returning Chaperone/Band Aid, thank you, and please fill out the form so we know you will join our team again!

Thanks to everyone who helped the band’s Danger Zone Tattoo Parlor to be a huge success! It was wonderful to see all the kids having so much fun. We could not have done it without a small army of unbelievable volunteers.

Special thanks to Julie Chaney and Natalie Brady who made the centerpieces and balloon clouds.  They also made themselves available to bounce ideas off of throughout the planning process.  Thanks to all the many volunteers who helped set up the space in record time on Friday night!  Alex Riley and Caitlyn Bishop, you were both rockstars staying after school a few extra hours to help set up for your older classmates. Caryn Weckstein, the tattoos you designed were so much fun!  The Bobby Dodd tattoo in particular was the most sought after of the night.  Nancy Riley, the sign you made was perfect!  To those of you who volunteered to stay up into the wee hours of the night to run the shop and help tear everything down, thank you just doesn’t seem like enough.  Some of you even volunteered both Friday and Saturday or worked double shifts.  It also would not have been possible without the monetary support and the donations of tattoos/supplies by several parents.  Thank you Mr. Hinson for allowing us to use your projector and DVD player so we could play the Top Gun movie. Thanks to all of the directors for supporting everything we do. Mindy Patton, as always, you went the extra mile by lending out many of your personal things and letting us borrow items from the Mason School’s Foundation closet.  Michael, thank you for doing whatever was asked of you from start to finish. Hopefully everyone was able to catch up on their rest today. Thanks again!

Thanks to everyone who ordered flowers from our Spring flower sale to support the band!  Pick-up or Delivery of your flowers will be on May 14th.  We will share email reminders closer to the pick-up date!

Please be sure to check out our social media pages now until graduation. We will be highlighting our graduating Seniors to celebrate and honor all that they have accomplished.  We are so proud of each and every one of them and are excited to see what is next in their journey!  No matter where each of them land, they will always have a home with Mason Band.
