NEW INFORMATION

California

Congratulations To Our Marching Band!

This past week our incredible marching band represented Ohio in 3 stellar performances in sunny California.  The students showcased their talents by marching through Disneyland, performing in Band Fest, and playing in front of thousands while marching down Colorado Boulevard during the Rose Parade. It was a week full of once in a lifetime memories and moments that have made us all so proud.

Opportunities such as this do not happen without the assistance of many.  Special thanks to Lisa Oldham, Melissa Woodward, and Bob Rogers Travel for leading the charge to plan a wonderful trip for our kids. Thanks to our band directors for allowing our students to have this amazing opportunity and the many hours they spent to prepare the band for their moment on the world stage. Tiffany Williams and Rachel Gaspar’raj, thanks for being the “boots on the ground” and taking the lead during the trip itself to make sure that everyone’s needs were met and that everything went according to plan. As always, thanks to the band aids and chaperones who sacrificed so much to make sure our kids were well taken care of during the trip. In particular, we appreciate Mike McCallister who in addition to all of the regular band aid duties, distributed and kept track of all of the scheduled medications throughout the trip. This task is one that is bigger than many realize especially given the challenges traveling presents. Thank you to our sponsors especially Beacon Orthopedics and Senour-Flaherty Insurance who made sure all students who wanted to participate could do so no matter their financial circumstances. Thank you to the Langbein family and Mr. Schlaeger for making sure the mental health needs of our students were met while traveling. Uniform and Pit Crews, once again you both went above and beyond to make sure the kids looked good and had everything they needed while in California. Thanks as well to everyone who took and shared videos & pictures so that those family members who could not attend could see their kids having the time of their lives. Also, thanks to all of the parents, extended family, and friends who continue to support the band and went to great lengths to make this dream come true for their kids.

2024 PEP BAND INFORMATION

We are excited to get our Pep Band season started! Pep band is a great way to play some fun music with your friends, while supporting our school and community.

CLICK HERE FOR SCHEDULE, BAND LISTS, AND MORE INFO!

This year, each member of Concert Winds, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony will again be responsible for two basketball games as part of their grade for the Spring Semester. Some years this is a three game requirement, but due to the busy Rose Parade year, we have restructured to do the same amount of games with each student only needing to attend two games to respect your busy schedule. For all students in Concert White, Silver and Green pep band is not required but students are welcome and encouraged to attend if they want to visit with their friends and perform to support our school and community!
