2014 Mason Marching Band Invitational

On behalf of the staff, students, band boosters and administration of Mason High School, we would like to welcome you to our 13th annual marching band competition, the “2014 Mason High School Marching Band Invitational”.  This year, we are proud to host 39 high school marching bands from Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.  The competition will be held at Atrium Stadium, which is on the campus of Mason Middle School, adjacent to Mason High School.

All tickets are for general admission seating and will be sold at the spectator entrance located on the north end of the stadium.  The ticket office and gates will open at 8:30 am. 

Spectator parking is at Mason High School, north of the stadium.  Preferred parking close to the stadium is available for $5.00.  Handicap parking for properly identified vehicles is available across from the stadium entrance.  Overflow spectator parking is at Mason Intermediate School, west of the stadium across Mason-Montgomery Road.  Please click here for a map to help you navigate the school campus.  Additional directions are noted below.

Two concession stands will be operating as will be several vendors.  Professional DVD recordings of band performances and other souvenirs will be available for purchase.

Cameras and recording equipment are permitted, but please be respectful of those around you by not blocking their viewing.  Movement inside the stadium will be restricted during a band performance.  Please respect fellow spectators by setting mobile phones to silent or vibrate.

Directions and Parking

The following directions should cover most of those who need to travel. You can always go to Google Maps to obtain directions.  Yahoo Maps, MapQuest, and Bing Maps also have been confirmed to be reasonably accurate.  For GPS and online maps, please use the address for Mason Middle School (see above).  Directional signs will be posted and volunteers will be available all day to assist you with parking.

I-71 traveling south - take Exit 25 (Kings Mills Rd). Turn left at the light (towards Kings Island). At the McDonald's, take the continuous right turn (right lane) to Kings Island. Go past Kings Island. Turn right at the light to Western Row Road.  Follow the remaining directions below.

I-71 traveling north - take Exit 24 (Western Row Rd). Turn left at the light to Western Row Road.  Follow the remaining directions below.

Approximately 0.8 miles up Western Row Road is a left turn to stay on Western Row, a right turn onto Stitt Road and if you stay straight it becomes Tylersville Road (see photo below).  You will stay straight on Tylersville.

Stay on Tylersville Road for approximately 1 mile. Mason Middle School will be on your right.

  • The Equipment Vehicle parking lot is on the right behind the school.  Turn right at the traffic light to enter the lot.
  • Buses will drop off band members and staff in the Equipment Vehicle parking lot and then proceed to the bus parking area.  Volunteers will direct you to the appropriate area.
  • Band staff traveling in their own vehicles can park at Heritage Presbyterian Church, which is on your left just past the Equipment Vehicle parking lot.
  • Spectators will proceed to the light at the front of the school, turn right on Mason-Montgomery Road, turn right at the next light just past the baseball field and park in the high school parking lots.

I-75 traveling north - take Exit 22 (Tylersville Rd) and turn right at the light. Follow the remaining directions below.

I-75 traveling south - take Exit 22 (Tylersville Rd) and turn left at the light. Follow the remaining directions below.

Stay on Tylersville Road for approximately 3.5 miles to Mason-Montgomery Road.  Mason Middle School will be on your far left.

  • The Equipment Vehicle parking lot is directly behind the Middle School.  Proceed across Mason-Montgomery Road to the next traffic light and turn left to enter the lot.
  • Buses will drop off band members and staff in the Equipment Vehicle parking lot and then proceed to the bus parking area.  Volunteers will direct you to the appropriate area.
  • Band staff traveling in their own vehicles can park at Heritage Presbyterian Church, which is on your right past Mason-Montgomery Road.
  • Spectators will turn left at the traffic light onto Mason-Montgomery Road and turn right at the light just past the baseball field and park in the high school parking lots.
