The Mason Band Boosters include parents with students in the district’s instrumental music program, and our goal is to support the entire Mason Band Program, grades 6 through 12. We do this financially and by being involved in band activities…fundraising, chaperoning, organizing events, and helping our directors with everything from uniforms to equipment. We share responsibility with the Touchdown Club for the concession stands during football season, and we host three Marching Band competitions in the fall.
Yes, we’re a busy group, and that’s one reason why we need you! Being involved in the Band Boosters has definite perks…you will learn what’s happening in your student’s music world, see what goes on behind the scenes, and get to know other parents. We encourage you to get involved by…
…taking part in the planning and decision making--attend Booster meetings, usually the first Thursday of the month in the high school band room.
…participating in fundraisers with other parents—our financial support helps the band program continue to be one of the best!
…chaperoning—a great way to get to know students and parents.
…being involved in a committee—figure out what you like to do, and we can find a committee that would love to use your talents!
…having FUN while supporting our fantastic band students and program—attend competitions, performances, tailgates, and other band events.
