Band Notes for the Week of May 8th

Friday, May 12

  • Final Forms & Charms Registration: 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm in the MHSBand Room.

Saturday, May13

  • Flower Sale Pickup: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm in the MHS Small Commons.

  • New Member Meeting: 9:00 am in the MHS Band Room.

  • Final Forms & Charms Registration: 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the MHSBand Room immediately following the New Member meeting.


Flower Sale

Thank you to all of the Band families who sold flowers and herbs this year! As a reminder, the flower sale pickup is this Saturday, May 13th 9:00 am - Noon in the Small Commons of the High School.


Plan to deliver your orders in a timely manner so they retain their quality and freshness.  Please do not send customers to pick up their individual orders.  If you are not available to pick up your flower order during the noted times on May 13th, please make arrangements for someone else to pick them up for you.  Orders not picked up by noon on May 13th will not be held, but will be donated.    


There is a chance that we will have a Cash and Carry Sale.  If you are interested in buying extra flowers, herb, and vegetables, please bring your checkbook just in case we have them available.


Thank you to all the volunteers that have signed up in Charms.  We have still have several spots open on Saturday if you can help us out for a few hours.

Spirit Wear

Mason Marching Band spirit items will be available for purchase during the flower pickup and before and after the new member meeting on Saturday, May 13th.  The selection of items for purchase will include headbands, hats, car decals/magnets, key chains and jewelry.  For those of you who ordered a photo book from the 2016 band season, we will also have these available for pickup during this time.


Final Forms and Charms Registration

All NEW parents and any parents who have not completed their CHARMS and FINAL FORMS registrations need to attend one of the registration meetings being offered.  Please sign up in Charms for a meeting slot. We will have some laptops available to use but if you have your own laptop or tablet device, please bring it. We will help you complete your forms during the workshop.  Students will not be allowed to participate in Mini Band Camp until their Final Forms registration is completed.


Once again, the meetings dates are (you only need to attend one):

  • Friday May 12, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm in the Band room.

  • Saturday May 13, 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the Band room immediately following the New Member meeting.

Medication Drop Off for Mini Band Camp

If your student will need prescription or over the counter medication during Mini Band Camp, please sign up in Charms for an appointment to meet with a Band Aid to drop off medication. (New Parents: we use the Charms volunteer sign up feature to schedule appointments for medication drop off, so please do not be confused by the wording 'volunteer' signup.)


Medication Drop Off will be Friday, May 19th from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm or Saturday, May 20th from 10:00 am - 11:00 am.


Please refer to the Medication Planning Guide (MPG) regarding forms and procedures for submitting medication and remember you must have a completed DMS form for each medication and the DMS form must have both a doctor’s and parent’s signature. As always, please make a copy of your student’s forms for your records before your turn them in.  If your student is approved to carry their emergency medication (inhaler, epi-pen), you need to provide a completed DMS and turn into the Medical Secretary. Those forms can be turned into the drop box if there is no medication being turned in.

Car Wash

A huge THANK YOU to all the smiling car washers and volunteers that made yesterday’s Car Wash a great success!


As reminder, please collect your pledge money and leave it with either the Middle School Band Directors or in the dropbox at the High School. Pledges are due May 19th.
