Director Meet and Greet at April 6th Booster Meeting
Our next booster meeting is Thursday, April 6th at 7:30 PM in the MHS Band Room. We are excited to announce a “Mason Band Family Meet and Greet” session during the meeting with Mr. Greg Benson, Mason Band’s new band director!
Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer Position
We will also be voting for two board positions at the April 6th meeting: Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer. Here are the bio’s for our two candidates
Treasurer: Will Grace
My name is Will Grace. My son Nathan is a freshman in the band. I just completed a 2-year term as Secretary / Treasurer for a non-profit association. As a 6-year member of the Board, I was responsible for oversight of the Audit and Finance Committees. I was not responsible for actually managing the day to day finances and accounts as these duties were handled by the CFO of the Association. But, I have a lot of familiarity with these activities. I was responsible for oversight, budget approval and financial reporting to the Board.
Assistant Treasurer: Bruce Sailers
I am a father of 2 including Caileigh who is a sophomore flute player. We have lived in Mason for 12 years. I coached youth football until this year, but now my son is moving to 7th grade. I like to play basketball, softball, watch sports, and volunteer.
Please plan to attend our Booster Meeting to meet the band’s newest director and cast your ballots! PHOTO BOOKS will also be available for pick up that night!
Music Festival Pictures
The Regional Music Festival pictures are now available on the MHS Band SmugMug site. They are located in the CONCERT BANDS folder. Check them out!
The directors are searching for our Louis Armstrong wall plaque in preparation for this year’s end of year band awards. We sent it out to be engraved, but it doesn’t seem to have been returned. If you know where it is or someone who might know it’s location, please contact a board member or Mr. Jackson. Any help locating the plaque is greatly appreciated!
Mason After Prom
Sign-ups for volunteer shifts have been posted to Charms if you’d like to sign up for a shift. We also need help with set up – setup is a come one, come all (no Charms), set up will take place Friday, April 21 starting at 5:00 p.m. and we'll go until the room is done. Meet in our room, C221 - go up the steps in the large commons and you will find us down the first classroom hallway on the right.
There are a few food/supply items left if you can help by signing up for an item or two in Charms. If you have not already turned in your donation please bring it to the next Booster meeting on April 6. If you can’t make the Booster meeting, please drop off your donation to either 7925 Birchwood Court or 4409 Village Ridge Drive by April 9.
