 CONCERT
ORCHESTRA

 The
Mason Concert Orchestra is an entry level ensemble which works on skill and
technique development as well as building ensemble performance skills. Most
ninth and tenth graders will participate in Concert Orchestra, though it is not
limited to those grade levels. Concert Orchestra meets for the second and third
trimester of the school year. Students who participate in Concert Orchestra
students are encouraged to participate in the Chamber Strings class which meets
first trimester to help further develop their skills. Concert Orchestra
performs two concerts per year and may participate in OMEA adjudicated events as
well as community performances. The Concert Orchestra has the distinct honor of
being selected along with the Mason Symphony Orchestra to perform at the 2007
Ohio Music Education Association Conference in Columbus, Ohio. They are one of
only two high school orchestras in the state of Ohio to receive this honor.
