campus with over 200 students involved. The Marching Band consists of students
from all five concert bands, as well as color guard students who may not be in a

exception of Color Guard members. As a co-curricular activity, students in
Marching Band receive .5 credits for participation in this class which meets
entirely outside of the school day. Marching Band begins with a
mini-camp in
June, followed by occasional rehearsals in June and July. The first two weeks of
August are Marching Band Camp, which all participants are require to attend.
Once school starts the Marching Band rehearses three times a week and performs
at pregame and halftime of all home football games, as well as some away games.
The Marching Band compete in 6-8 competitions on Saturdays during fall in the MidStates Band Association and Bands of America circuits.
The Marching Band has consistently been a finalist in Bands of America regional
competitions and was a semifinalist at Bands of America Grand National
