7th & 8th Grade Jazz Band

Seventh and Eighth Grade Jazz Bands are offered as after school extracurricular performance ensembles. Jazz Band provides all Mason Middle School band students an opportunity to learn and perform jazz and rock styles of music. Jazz Band begins in the second trimester and rehearses one day per week after school. The performance schedule for these ensembles varies. 8th grade woodwind and brass students must audition for Jazz Band, while drum set players, guitarists, and pianists must either be taking private lessons or have extensive playing experience.
