Handbook    Week in Review   

Concert Winds is one of three upper level bands in the Mason High School band program.  Concert Winds meets in the second and third trimesters and is populated by mostly 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students. Concert Winds focuses on refining instrument playing skills and performing quality music literature of a higher difficulty level. Concert Winds will perform two concerts during the school year and participates in OMEA adjudicated events. Participation in one of these concert bands fulfills the prerequisite for participation in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities such as marching band, jazz band, and winter percussion. Students in all of the concert bands are part of the basketball pep band which requires attendance at two basketball games of the students’ choosing during the basketball season.
